Face Care for The Dark Skin

Dark-skinned women tend to need different skin care. Dark skin tend to be greasy because of the activities of active oil glands.

Every woman has a skin color and different skin conditions. Therefore, treatment is also so different. The skin of women in the eastern part of Indonesia would be different from women who live in the western part of Indonesia.

Women who live in Bali, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, to Papua, tend to have tan skin and tend to be black. This is caused by natural factors (weather), skin type, diet, and genetic factors.

"Those who live in eastern Indonesia have an average of a thick skin pigment and tend to oily because of the activities of active oil glands,''said Dr. Tranggono Iswari, expert and dermatologist Cosmetology.

Women with dark skin condition is not so vulnerable to attack sunlight. For example, attacked or becoming reddish spots. However, if you do not care, still be more oily skin and looks dull.

For that, special care needs to be done for those with skin types that tend to be dark.

  1. Wash your face at least twice a day. Use soap face cleanser with a pH balance (pH 7).
  2. If your skin feels very oily, use soap to wash face and brush her face toner oily afterward.
  3. Use SPF 15 sunblock during outdoor activities. While your skin is black, it is not impossible to burn your skin, because the sun in the eastern part of Indonesia tend to be more fierce than the western part of Indonesia.
  4. Use a facial scrub once a week to pick up fat deposits in the skin that causes the skin to be dull.
  5. Do not use the cream with bleach effects, but that contains a formula to brighten the skin.
  6. Black skin has a high resilience for active oil glands, but often attacked by acne. One of the reasons for using cosmetics that cause the face become more oily. For black skin type, use water-based face cream that is not greasy, and quickly penetrate the skin.
  7. Use green tea facial mask once a week to provide cooling effect on the face, and prevent premature aging.
  8. Drinking water at least 8 glasses a day to avoid loss of fluid in the body that makes the skin susceptible to premature aging.
